With a sound rooted in modern jazz, jazz piano trio Triority from Würzburg (Germany) delights audiences across Germany and beyond with their musical vitality, spirit and their charming and humorous nature.

According to German newspaper Mainpost, Triority convinces with dedication and passion to the music and media outlet PNP describes their music as “free of any frippery and superfluous gesture”.

Triority’s concerts offer a wide range of modern jazz styles and a concert experience with passion, charm and enthusiasm that will give the audience an unforgettable evening.

The members of Triority – Maximilian Ludwig (drums), Frank Adelt (piano) and Janosch Korell (double bass) – met during their musical activities in Würzburg and quickly found common ground.

For many years, the three musicians have been sharing the stage together and have been inviting internationally renowned artists such as Hubert Winter or Ack van Rooyen as guest musicians to their concerts for some time.

“Introducing Triority“ is Triority’s first album release. This CD gives an insight into their years of intimate musical collaboration. The album has 8 tracks, all in the bands signature style: traditional approach and modern arrangements played with great swing feel and many powerful moments.

THE ENSEMBLE

Jazz-Piano Trio Triority - Frank Adelt Piano

Frank Adelt was born in Nuremberg and started taking piano lessons at the age of six. After his A-levels, he participated in various musical productions,

composed the music for the film project “Terrorist Academy” of the New York Film Academy and was engaged as a pianist at the Nuremberg State Theater.

From 2007 he studied jazz piano in Würzburg with Bernhard Pichl and graduated in February 2013 with both a teaching diploma and a performance diploma. During his studies, he participated in numerous workshops with artists such as Don Friedman, Alan Broadbent, John Riley, Chuck Israels.

In addition to teaching and recording as a session musician, he tours with bands from different genres across Europe.

Jazz-Piano Trio Triority - Double Bass Janosch Korell

Composer and bassist Janosch Korell studied with Rudi Engel, Michinori Bunya and Kurt Holzkämper at the University of music in Würzburg and received an artistic and educational diploma. He is active as a band leader, sideman and composer and is currently managing director of jazz piano trio Triority and Ensemble EDEN, for which he writes compositions and arrangements. He has worked as a composer with award-winning directors such as Kai Scherhans and Peter Baranowski.

He published musicological articles in the new magazine for music by Schott Verlag and he continues his academic interest in his second degree in Political and Social Studies and philosophy.

Jazz-Piano Trio Triority - Maximilian Ludwig Ludwig Drums

Born in Upper Bavaria, Maximilian Ludwig studied jazz drums at the University of

music Würzburg with Prof. Bill Elgart. He received further lessons from Jochen Rückert, Keith Copeland, Jonas Burgwinkel, Hannes Nied, Rick Hollander and Scott Neumann, among others.

For about 15 years he has been a professional drummer in various bands across many different styles in Germany and abroad.

An overview of his compositional work can be found on the album “It’s your Delusion” released by the band Cool Motion. In addition to jazz, Maximilian Ludwig’s great passion is Indian music, in particular the tabla which he has been studying for many years.
